Cancelling my booking

You can no longer join the ski trip, what now?

There are different cancellation conditions and processes for individual bookings made through the My Yoonly website and group bookings made through associations, groups +25 pax or companies.

I made an individual booking through the My Yoonly website

This refers to a booking not linked to an association or group booking made via a special link on a separate page.

Starting the cancellation process
Send an email to contact@yoonly.eu to cancel your trip. Include the following information: Booking ID, Name + Surname, reason for cancellation & cancellation insurance yes/no.
! Not paying your deposit or outstanding balance is not equivalent to cancellation; you must always contact Yoonly customer service in writing via email for your cancellation.

It's crucial to inform us as soon as possible after encountering the reason for cancellation. This is important not only for avoiding costs but also for any potential cancellation insurance.

Cancellation Costs

There are costs associated with canceling a booking. Only if you cancel within 24 hours of booking or find a replacement are you exempt from cancellation costs.

Why are there cancellation costs associated with a booking?
As a travel provider, Yoonly incurs costs when creating a booking, such as reserving a spot on the bus, accommodation, administration, etc.

If you have taken insurance, you will be reimbursed or provided with a voucher by our insurance company, Assurinco. More information can be found on the helpdesk page: Cancellation Insurance via Yoonly

No costs
Cancellation within 24 hours of booking
Once you've booked on the website, it's binding. Not paying your deposit is not considered a cancellation. Yoonly offers customers who cancel within 24 hours the exception to cancel at no cost. After a booking is confirmed for 24 hours, Yoonly incurs costs, such as requesting personal insurance, making it unfortunately no longer possible to cancel without costs.

Finding a Replacement for Booking
If the 24-hour window has passed, you can still cancel your trip without cancellation costs if you find a replacement to take over your booking. Every replacement must be notified by email to contact@yoonly.eu no later than 7 days before departure. Please note that you are still responsible for the payment of any insurance you've booked, as it is personal and not transferable to another person. Keep in mind that there may be an administrative fee for transferring a booking. More information on the replacement process can be found here.

Costs
If you cannot apply the two options mentioned above, cancellation costs will apply to your booking. The amount depends on the time remaining until the departure date. The date of the cancellation email is the date of the written confirmation. The cancellation process only starts once the minimum cancellation costs have been paid. As mentioned above, this is very important to avoid higher cancellation costs.

More than 45 days before departure: 30% of the total amount
Between 44 and 30 days before departure: 50% of the total amount
Between 29 and 15 days before departure: 65% of the total amount
Between 14 and 10 days before departure: 80% of the total amount
Less than 9 days before departure: 100% of the total amount

Refund via Insurance
Don't worry! If you've chosen cancellation insurance, these cancellation costs will be reimbursed through a payment by our insurance company, Assurinco, if you meet the conditions in the policy. With cancellation insurance, you can get the cancellation costs refunded for a valid and certified reason.

Not paying the minimum amount within 48 hours after reservation

After making a reservation, you must link a payment to your booking to confirm and make it official. You don't have an effective booking until you've paid a minimum of 50 euros. This means that if you made a reservation but didn't add a payment of at least 50 euros, your reservation will be automatically canceled.

Replacement for Booking
If you have an effective booking and have added the minimum amount to your booking, receiving a booking confirmation, you can have your booking taken over by a replacement. Every replacement must be notified by email to contact@yoonly.eu no later than 7 days before departure. Please note that you are still responsible for the payment of any insurance you've booked since it's personal and not transferable to another person. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

The consumer does not have the right to withdraw from a purchase

While article 47 of the Law on Market Practices and Consumer Protection provides for a period of 14 calendar days within which the consumer can withdraw from the contract in the case of distance selling, this right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts concluded through the website.

Indeed, as a result of the Royal Decree of 18 November 2002, distance contracts relating to services for accommodation, transport, the restaurant business, and leisure activities are excluded from this possibility under certain conditions.

This exception for the tourism sector was prompted by the specificity of the services provided in this sector and is in line with European regulations on distance selling, which also provide for an exception for services related to accommodation, transport, the restaurant business, and leisure activities.

Yoonly provides an exception for this, allowing customers 24 hours to cancel their booking free of charge. After a booking has been confirmed for 24 hours, Yoonly automatically incurs costs, such as requesting personal insurance. So, if you miss this time frame, you'll unfortunately have to follow the standard cancellation procedure.
