I had an accident and have SKIEUR insurance
You have an accident at destination during your trip, now what?
Is there an emergency or do you need urgent assistance? Please contact the local authorities immediately:
SAMU (medical emergencies): 15
POLICE (police): 17
POMPIERS (fire ambulance): 18
European emergency number: 112
Did you book SKIEUR insurance when booking? Then you can find below which steps to take:
1. Inform the insurance immediately in case of medical expenses and/or repatriation. Contact Mutuaide emergency service at +33 1 41 77 45 97.
Don't wait with this! You must open your claim 24h after the accident!
2. Keep your contract number (no. 7360) and file number (your reservation number) handy.
3. After opening your file with Mutuaide, send your invoices and supporting documents by e-mail to voyage@mutuaide.fr.
It is very important to contact Mutuaide as soon as possible after an accident, without notification to the insurance company, the costs will not be covered by the insurance.
Repatriation costs
Only in exceptional cases are you insured for repatriation costs in case of any incident on the slopes. More specifically, for the route of repatriation between the location of your medical incident on the slopes and the medical centre or hospital in the village or valley. Some examples of such repatriations or evacuations: helicopter, snowmobile, ski berry, etc..
This is often overlooked, so check with your insurance company before you leave. Not sure or got confirmation that this item is not included in your insurance policy? Then be sure to check out the solution(s) below:
CARRÉ NEIGE
The ski resorts themselves also offer such an insurance formula when selling their ski passes. By default, this insurance is not included in your ski pass booked through Yoonly, but you can still book it at the ski pass office at your destination.
Take your ski pass to one of the ski pass offices in the village and inquire about the insurance package(s) they offer. For all French ski resorts, this insurance is called 'Carré Neige'. Prices vary according to destination, but are around €3 per person per day.
Compensation for accommodation interruption with Assurinco
In the event of an accident that prevents you from skiing or snowboarding, SkiEUR insurance covers rental equipment and the ski pass for the days you cannot ski.
After the accident, open your claim with Assurinco within 5 days (website link by clicking here). Use your file number (it is the same as your booking number) and the date of the first day your ski pass starts.
Please note! For SkiEUR insurance, you must enter the date of the first day of the ski pass, not the departure date. Once your file is opened, you are not obliged to complete your file within 5 days.
Follow the suggested steps on the Assurinco platform.
Contact Yoonly for a travel summary/invoice of your trip. Contact Yoonly customer service by phone at +32 2 808 25 70 (BE) +31 208 080 717 (NL) or by email at contact@yoonly.eu.
Save all invoices and proofs that will be used to activate your insurance. We recommend you take a photo of them so you don't lose anything!
